Resolution to ETT and COMPASS Concerns

Software Solution

    The resolutions to the ETT and COMPASS concerns are as followed. UPS needs to initiate a push notification protocol/ push technology within both COMPASS and ETT in order to alert any last minute changes through both management and clerk's emails or the application software they are currently using. This reduces the presences of any possible information silos such as data duplication from the improper changes of container information with compass. 

Hardware Solution

    UPS needs to step away from a paper trail for day to day actions, that way information can become constantly updated. To use current hardware to send trailer notifications and information to the supervisors of the operations. This way the company is eliminating any chance of creating error through miscommunication or a lack of information. Honeywell CN85 originally used to upload aircrafts with container filled packages would work well for ground workers to update data from both the ETT and COMPASS.
