Conclusion

    In conclusion, we met our objective by analyzing information systems, creating recommendations for UPS, and interviewing a UPS Gateway Manager to help meet the objective of this report. We discussed and analyzed UPS’ effectiveness in the business process and their use of their information systems. From the writing and researching of this project, we learned a lot about how UPS uses its business strategy and information systems. We took away what works and what does not work in UPS’ business process and what kind of information systems work best for a company like UPS. In the end, this report gave a general recommendation towards the company's information systems in terms of improvement and the need to implement one. We believe that if UPS applies our recommendations they will run into fewer problems saving them time and money. Also, these recommendations will help strengthen team cohesiveness within UPS and keep UPS a leader over its competitors. Overall, we hope to use the skills and knowledge learned throughout this project in our jobs and future endeavors.
